SECOND ASSOCIATION

“A meeting of delegates from the second Mornington, Hastings, Frankston Rovers and Langwarrin Clubs was held at Somerville on the 13thinst. Mr Copsey occupied the chair. After discussion it was decided to form the above association. The election of officers was then proceeded with:- President, Mr Copsey: vice president, Mr Darling: Secretary, Mr W Cain.

It was decided to start the competition on Saturday, 22nd May and the team with the bye will play Somerville if they can get a team together. It was decided to pay umpires 15s per match. W. Gold and A. Coxhell were appointed, and it was left in the secretary’s hands to secure one or two more umpires.

Matches for tomorrow are:- Langwarrin v Mornington at Langwarrin, umpire E. McComb; Hastings v Frankston Rovers at Hastings, umpire W. Gold; Tyabb bye.”

On the 23rd April 1934 the Peninsula District Football Association, the Peninsula Football Association and the Mornington Peninsula Junior Football League amalgamated to form the Mornington Peninsula Football League.
